Forget Me Not Sessions
We created Forget Me Not sessions as a way to celebrate the love, laughter, and companionship that our pups have brought to our lives (and that we have brought to theirs).
These sessions are unique to our soulful sessions in that they are generally held in your home—a place that is sentimental to you and your pup—showcasing their favorite spots, toys, and places inside and outside of the home.
We take our time allowing your pup to settle in, participate in their usual activities (like carrying their favorite toy around the house or laying in their favorite napping spot), and just generally enjoy that afternoon all the while we are snapping away with our camera!
From the session, Joanne will provide you with 30-40 proofed images, you will be able to choose your final selections from for light editing and color correction.
From there, Joanne will get your photos to you in 1-2 weeks delivered via a beautiful online gallery you’ll have lifetime access to.
As an option, clients may also purchase additional images or other artwork products, such as albums, wall art, or table top art from the session. You can view our full product guide here.

WHAT IF MY DOG IS TO ILL TO TRAVEL?
The majority of our Forget Me Not Sessions are held at the client’s home for the pup’s comfort, so no travel is necessary!
DO YOU TRAVEL OUTSIDE OF RALEIGH FOR THESE SESSIONS?
Yes, we do! Raleigh is our home base, but if there is a location that’s meaningful to you and your pup — say the mountains or beach or Grandma’s farm — we can definitely travel to you! A small travel fee may apply for any travel outside of the Raleigh area and our typical session locations.
CAN I BOOK A SESSION EVEN IF MY DOG IS STILL HEALTHY?
Yes, we highly recommend that if your senior pup is getting on up in years that you book a session while they are still feeling and looking great. This way they will be able to participate in behaviors that they enjoy and we can capture those precious moments that are so unique to your pup (like running, tugging, digging, playing, etc).
DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH KIDS?
We specialize in pups and their adult companions during a Forget Me Not Session as to keep the focus on the pup!
DO YOU OFFER LAST MINUTE SESSIONS?
Yes! We try to keep space in our schedule to accommodate last minute or sessions that come up unexpectedly. If your session is of extremely short notice, you may fill out the form below, but also text us at (919) 740 9213, so that we may see your message and get back to you more quickly!
WHAT IF I WANT TO BUY MORE FROM MY SESSION?

Joanne is incredible. We did an a Forget Me Not Session with my dog who was just diagnosed with a brain tumor. Vespa was mostly deaf, very anxious/active, and hard to control or to get to participate. Joanne somehow made it work, with ease, and the pictures were amazing.
Vespa died just a couple of days later, and these are the most treasured images I have us. I’m so grateful for her and her time! Highly recommend capturing the moment with your pup sooner rather than later. Such a great communicator as well. Easy to schedule.

I’m Joanne, your Pet Photographer.
“What once was loved is never lost.” A friend said this to me back in December of 2021 after we said goodbye to my best bud, Sox.
Six weeks earlier, Sox was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of stomach cancer. At just nine years old, we were blind sided and devastated by his diagnosis.
Due to the nature of the cancer, there was nothing we could do but say goodbye.
It was and still is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do.
I tell you all of this to say - I’ve been there. I know what you’re feeling. It’s the hardest thing in the world watching our canine companions age or decline because of a diagnosis.
We wish they would stick around forever.
Losing Sox gave me a new found appreciation for the work that I do with Forget Me Not Sessions, because I feel so fortunate to have the hundreds (if not, thousands, let’s be honest) of photos and videos with my buddy over the years.
In a way, Forget Me Not sessions allow me to gift my clients with beautiful, vibrant images of their pup as they know and love them best and allow me to remember Sox in this way, too.
