Just under three years ago, I launched my Pet Photography Business, Five Freedoms Photography. When I first started, I knew nothing about photography, editing, or even how to really, truly make money as a Pet Photographer.
Fortunately, what I did have was a love of shelter dogs, a willingness to learn, and the tenacity to make it happen.
As you can imagine, I did a lot of things the wrong way. I made things way harder for myself than they had to be. I allowed self-doubt and self-sabotage keep me from being successful sooner. (Can you relate?)
But through investing in education, lots of trial and error, and continuing to put one foot in front of the other - I realized that running a simple, impactful, and profitable pet photography business is a lot easier than we might think.
Now, I’m averaging a minimum of $1K per client, donating 10% of my client sales back to help homeless dogs, and having a ton of fun along the way.
