Our Mission

Our story began out of a love for shelter dogs. By utilizing photography, we want them be seen, valued, and loved among the millions of dogs available for adoption.

From the beginning, our aim has been to highlight the more difficult cases, such as Heartworm positive dogs, Senior pups, dogs that need to be the only pet in the home, medical cases, black dogs, disabled pups, and the like.

It is our mission to get them out of the shelter and into a loving home through the medium of beautiful imagery. We truly believe images save lives.

Since we began back in 2019, we’ve photographed well over 500+ rescue dogs (and a few cats, too!) and raised over $22K in funding for various rescues locally. View our full donation list here.

We hope that through this work we can truly save lives, change the perspective surrounding shelter animals, and reduce the animal overpopulation crisis in the United States. It is all our wish to remove North Carolina as the number three state for euthanizing the most companions animals.

It’s a tall order, but when you are constantly thanked with endless snuggles, sloppy kisses, snoot boops, and booty wiggles—it’s worth every moment.

By the way, in case you are wondering, the Five Freedoms of Animal Welfare is what we named our business after. It was simple a laminated flyer in the volunteer lounge at WakeGov Pets that inspired this movement. Learn more about the Five Freedoms here.
