Pet Portrait Session: Bentley, Roofus, + Nori
What is better than one Pittie mix?
Three!
Jenna and Adam reached out to me (after winning one of my Gift Certificates to help support a rescue dog named, Baloo) about a session for themselves along with their three Senior pittie mixes.
Given their pups are getting older, they really wanted at least one great photo of all of them together as a family unit along with some personality filled images of the pups solo.
You might be thinking, easier said than done with three dogs!
But, within the first few frames, we had nailed multiple family shots! The pups came to the session totally understanding the assignment (the treats helped, too!).
Another major concern for Jenna and Adam was their pup, Bentley. Heβs their oldest, but also has big feelings about people.
Which for a Dog Photographer, who is trained in dog body language and behavior is not a problem.
We have a lot of tricks up our sleeves for working with dogs who have stranger danger, are reactive towards other dogs, or if they are shy, anxious, or nervous in new places!
Using a longer lens, avoiding eye contact, keeping our distance, and keeping Bentley distracted with treats / movement meant we could still capture beautiful images of him for Mom and Dad.
Donβt believe me? Check out a few of my favorite images from this session for yourself!
We also worked alongside Jenna and Adam at their ordering appointment to create a beautiful five piece custom wall art gallery for their alcove in their kitchen.
They love waking up and seeing the beautiful images of their Pittie family every single day and showing off their wall art whenever people come to visit!
