May 2026 Adoptables Sponsored by Dogs Like Ash
Our May adoptable round up has arrived!
This month’s Foster Photo Day was graciously sponsored by Wedding Day Pet Concierge, Dogs Like Ash!
Ashley Urbano Vondrachek, founder of Dogs Like Ash, turned her love for rescue dogs and special events into a way for couples to include their pups on their wedding day.
Inspired by her soul dog Ellie, Ashley and her team have helped more than 70 couples celebrate with their beloved pets by their side.
She’s also proud to support the Five Freedoms Rescue Lens initiative, helping shine a spotlight on rescue dogs still waiting for their forever homes.

MAXI - HOPE ANIMAL RESCUE
Maxi is a sweet and sensitive merle mix with a playful spirit and a heart full of love. While she can be shy at first, once she feels safe, she becomes a loyal companion who loves snuggles, toys, outdoor adventures, and being close to her people. Maxi would thrive in an active home with someone around often who can continue helping her build confidence as she works through separation anxiety. She’s food-motivated, cat-friendly, and would especially love a calm canine friend to show her the ropes.
BANJO - LONGLEAF ANIMAL RESCUE
Banjo is a 5-year-old Cairn Terrier mix with a tender heart and lots of personality. Banjo is a sweet, sensitive boy who takes time to trust, but once he feels safe, he bonds deeply with his people. He’s curious, expressive, and loves keeping tabs on the world around him.
Banjo is doing great with potty training, does okay in a crate, and is gaining confidence on leash walks and in new situations. He can be shy around other dogs, so slow introductions are important, and he may do best as an only dog or with a calm companion.
He’d love a patient, understanding home with a fenced yard where he can safely explore and play. If you’re willing to give him time to settle in, Banjo will reward you with loyalty, love, and plenty of charm.
SABLE - CRISISDOGS NC
Sable is a fun-loving 4-year-old Doberman/Hound mix with a big personality and an even bigger love for plush toys. This energetic, affectionate girl thrives in an active home with a fenced yard where she can run, play, and explore before curling up in your lap for cuddles.
She’s fully house-trained, trustworthy when left alone, great with other dogs and kids, but not suited for homes with cats or small animals due to her prey drive.
Friendly, playful, and always ready for adventure, Sable is sure to bring joy and laughter to her forever family.
MOCHA - CRISISDOGS NC
Mocha is a sweet and snuggly 7-year-old Shih Tzu who loves cozy naps, short walks, and soaking up attention from her favorite people. This low-to-medium energy girl is affectionate, full of charm, and known for adorably balancing on her back legs when she wants a treat or extra love. She’s potty trained, crate trained, great with kids, and does well with select dogs after slow introductions, but would do best in a cat-free home. Mocha would thrive in a calm, loving home ready to spoil this couch potato companion with cuddles and companionship.
